COMEDY show Edge of Heaven will not be back for a second series.
Executive producer Beryl Vertue broke last Monday (May 5). She said: “We had a very tough programming slot and were up against popular shows such as Sport’s Relief on the BBC.
We had such a great time making the show and the sad thing is everyone at ITV loved it but unfortunately the ratings meant we couldn’t continue for a second series.”
The comedy told the story of the Taylor-Chatterjee family who ran Margate’s only 80s-themed bed and breakfast. It starred Inbetweeners actor Blake Harrison as lead character Alfie.
Businesses such as Morgan's, Thanet Bedz and Barnacles were all used in the series.
