Pride returns to Thanet next month after a two-year hiatus to celebrate the isle's diversity.
The Margayte Pride festival on September 27-29 will be a low-key relaunch with the aim to run an annual event in future years.
Organisers say the weekender will be good for residents and tourists with traders cashing in on the pink pound - gay consumers contribute an estimated annual £6 billion to the UK economy.
The Tom Thumb Theatre, Sundowners and Rokka are among the venues hosting events.
Lisa Richards, of GB Pizza Co, is one of the businesses backing the event, said: "We want to promote diversity not just to residents of Thanet, but also to those visiting our beautiful home.
"By the town embracing the Pride event, we believe that those attending - especially visitors to the area - will be inclined to spend, stay and revisit."
Plans include an event by acclaimed London company Sink The Pink at Sundowners, a gay disco at Rokka with top DJs, a flash sale in and around the Old Town, a traditional tea dance and a sunset seafront celebration on the Sunday evening.
